Crete is one of the most important places for the reproduction of the threatened loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta Caretta), which is very famous throughout Greece. Earlier this month, newborn turtles appeared to our resort’s private beach!
Agapi Beach Resort works along with @archelon_greece, the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, for the welfare of the sea turtles of Ammoudara beach area, where the resort is nestled, taking all precautionary measures to safeguard them.
We’re very proud to have received the Green Key eco-label, as an environmental friendly, sustainable and responsible business! The Green Key eco-label for tourism and leisure establishments, is awarded to businesses that fulfill a list of strict environmental requirements.
We are extremely proud that Agapi Beach Resort, has received for one more year the iconic Blue Flag, one of the world’s most recognized voluntary eco-labels awarded to beaches, marinas, and sustainable boating tourism operators. This environmental symbol is one of property’s many commitments in sustainability, that preserves Cretan culture and its natural environment.
